Marco Saviolo is a harpist/composer based in Turin, Italy. He studied flute for ten years as a child, then traditional Breton harp with Enzo Vacca. He started taking classical singing lessons, and finally moved to the pedal harp, which he will continuously study forever. He has been involved in many different projects and bands, from Gothic metal to pop. Since March 2009, under the pseudonym Corso, he has released three ambient/soundtrack albums (“Ambrosia 432”, “Fabula Dura”, “Protect”) with enthusiastic reviews worldwide.
Corso’s music blends the sound of the harp with ethereal electronics, beats and vocals. “Selva” is Marco Saviolo’s first classical work for harp and cello, which also features electronics and zills (finger cymbals).
Saviolo’s new album “Ursula” (for harp, soprano, baritone, strings and electronics) is completely dedicated to the great american science-fiction and fantasy author Ursula K. Le Guin.
